Latte Art Workshop

A Beginner’s Latte Art Experience

At Dear Deer, we believe every cup of coffee should bring joy—not only in taste but also in presentation. This workshop is led by Shintaro, Dear Deer’s head roaster and experienced barista, who has spent years perfecting the balance between espresso and milk to create both flavor and beauty in a cup. From steaming silky milk to pouring classic latte art patterns, Shintaro will guide you step by step.

This workshop includes:

  • Espresso & Steamed Milk Fundamentals (30 mins): Learn how to extract espresso and make silky smooth milk—the foundation of latte art.

  • Latte Art Practice (40 mins): Hands-on practice with beginner-friendly designs like hearts and leaves.

  • Q&A & School Introduction (20 mins): Ask questions and learn how this experience connects to our barista courses.

Blend Making Experience Workshop

At Dear Deer, we believe coffee is best enjoyed not just as a drink, but as a creative journey. This hands-on workshop invites participants to experience the art of coffee blend making—from cupping single origins and discovering flavor preferences, to designing a personal blend using Brazil as the base. With guidance from our baristas, each participant will create, brew, and taste their own signature blend. To complete the experience, guests can take home the beans they blended themselves—a unique souvenir of their coffee journey with Dear Deer.

This workshop includes:

  1. Brand introduction + Explanation of single-origin coffees (10 min) 

  2. Cupping (8 varieties) + Flavor explanation (20 min)

  3. Explanation of blend recipe design + Trial blending (20 min)

  4. → Participants who finish trials proceed to drip and final tasting (20 min)

  5. Wrap-up and follow-up guidance (10 min)

  6. Take-home: Your Own Custom Blend
