Description
About Coffee: REGION: GUJI - OROMIA ALTITUDE: 2,100-2,350 MASL VARIETAL: BOURBONa Process : NATURAL
Tasting Note:
Aromas of rich chocolate, ripe berries, and toasted nuts greet the senses. You’ll find notes of red grape, black tea, and panela sugar, with a lingering finish that reveals berry and citrus undertones. Medium body and acidity, this coffee offers a balanced and nuanced cup.
Story:
Arsosala Washing Station, established in 2015 in Ethiopia’s Guji region, works with about 1,200 smallholder farmers.
Ripe coffee cherries are carefully processed at the station, with most varieties referred to as Bourbon or broadly as Ethiopian “Heirloom” types.
These indigenous cultivars are disease-resistant and well-suited to the local environment.
After washing, cherries are dried on raised beds for 8 to 20 days, depending on weather, to enhance their complex flavors.
